Gregory P. Daniels, Associate
A Boston native, Mr. Daniels attended the prestigious Boston Latin School before receiving his undergraduate degree from Boston College. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Practice Areas
Mr. Daniels practices in the Litigation and Regulatory Departments of the San Diego Office. His practice includes matters in the areas of provider reimbursement, business disputes, ADA Claims, employment law and criminal defense. He is an experienced civil and criminal trial attorney, having served as a Deputy District Attorney for Riverside County, California for six years before entering private civil practice. He has tried thirty-seven cases to jury verdict as sole or lead counsel.
As a Deputy District Attorney, Mr. Daniels prosecuted numerous offenses of a white-collar nature, including: embezzlement, fraud, computer systems attacks, software piracy, and identity theft. He also prosecuted narcotics offenses, auto theft and chop shop operations, carjacking, kidnapping, gang-related offenses, sex crimes, and homicide. Mr. Daniels was recognized as Prosecutor of the Month seven times during his tenure and was nominated for Prosecutor of the Year in 2006.
Mr. Daniels is also a former member of the Computer and Technology Crime High-Tech Response Team (C.A.T.C.H.), a joint task force comprised of federal and state law enforcement agencies dedicated to handling offenses involving computers and high technology; the High Tech Crime Investigators Association (H.T.C.I.A.); and the California Gang Investigators Association (C.G.I.A.).
Prior to joining Hooper, Lundy & Bookman, Mr. Daniels practiced with a mid-sized, California-based litigation firm handling cases in the areas of business litigation, professional liability defense, RICO defense, and real estate-related class actions. In additional to trial litigation, he represented his clients through all phases of the litigation process, including mediations, administrative investigations, investigations by Self-Regulatory Organizations (SROs), and arbitration proceedings, including arbitration proceedings involving the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). His extensive trial experience enables Mr. Daniels to provide his clients with meaningful strategic guidance throughout the length and breadth of the litigation process.
