Harry Shulman, Partner
Harry Shulman practices in the areas of professional staff affairs and life sciences. He represents multi-institutional health systems, hospitals and/or their medical staffs, independent practice associations, and medical groups, in a variety of matters. These include internal operations and self-governance; bylaws, rules and regulations and policies; Joint Commission, licensing, and other regulatory compliance; credentialing and peer review investigations; formal hearings (as an advocate for the peer review body or as the hearing officer); emergency transfer and antidumping; clinical research and institutional review board affairs subject to FDA and DHHS regulations; and bioethics and consent.
Harry has authored numerous articles and consulted on published manuals and guidebooks regarding professional credentialing and peer review. He has been a speaker before medical staffs and other professional organizations, including the National Association Medical Staff Services, the California Association Medical Staff Services and the California Society for Healthcare Attorneys.
