Joseph R. LaMagna, Associate
Mr. LaMagna received his B.S. degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2003. He received his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2006, and was a member of the San Diego International Law Journal.
Mr. LaMagna joined Hooper Lundy & Bookman in 2007.
Practice Areas
Mr. LaMagna’s practice involves healthcare-related litigation and advising clients regarding regulatory compliance. Mr. LaMagna assists clients with the following representative areas:
- Provider disputes with payors, including insurance companies and federal health care programs
- Health care fraud and abuse, self-disclosures, and employment of excluded persons
- Long-term care citation appeals, survey appeals, audit appeals, and regulatory compliance
- Employment matters, including termination of employment relationships, enforceability of noncompetition agreements, and WARN Act compliance
Mr. LaMagna represents clients before administrative agencies and all California courts. Mr. LaMagna is also admitted to the state bars of New York and Massachusetts.
