Matthew Clark, Senior Counsel

Practice Areas

Mr. Clark received his B.A. degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University in 1998.  He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2002.  While at the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Clark volunteered as an intern for the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California, a program providing advocacy for the uninsured, the immigrant, and under-served people of California.

After graduating from the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Clark joined Hooper, Lundy & Bookman’s San Francisco office, where he practices in the firm’s business, litigation and reimbursement departments.  Mr. Clark’s practice includes assisting long-term care providers and pharmacies in all aspects of their regulatory, business, and legal affairs.  Mr. Clark has represented long-term care providers in a wide variety of matters before state and administrative courts, including business  and contract disputes, elder abuse cases, transfer trauma cases, licensing and certification accusations and unfair competition (“UCL”) cases.  Additionally, Mr. Clark’s practice includes assisting companies in bringing new medical products to the market and assisting clients in the formation, organization and management of professional corporations.

Mr. Clark is an active member of the Barristers Association of San Francisco and is currently serving his second term as the Chair of the Health Law Section.
